The Notes And Research About Yuan Yi's Jing Chun Tang Poetry

Yuan Yi was a famous writer of the Yuan Dynasty, who has many resounding works, such as Jing Chun Tang Poetry,Jing Chun Ci. He went through the turbulence of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, suffered the anguish of national subjection and contradiction between ideal and reality, finally, he cloistered himself in the nature. His poem fills with vigorous style and far-reaching artistic conception. According to the information available, the academia studied on Yuan Yi insufficiently, the research of Jing Chun Tang Poetry was rarer. In view of this, the paper tries to make an analysis of his Jing Chun Tang Poetry and the thought of the poetry to understand him better.The paper consists of text and appendix, the text is composed of two parts:The first part discusses the classification of Jing Chun Tang Poetry from three aspects.The section one studies the lyric poems(twenty-seven poems). Yuan Yi regularly traveled around the country and expressed his emotion by the lyric poem. The poems include traveling poetry,pastoral poetry and praising poetry of object. The paper researches the typical classification to explore the implication of the poems.The section two studies the valedictory and memorial poems(six-nine poems). Yuan Yi often projects his emotion on the poetry. The section divides the poems into three categories which are defined with presentation,memorial and the rhyme scheme, interprets every category of poem by the representative poems .The section three studies the painting poems(six poems). Yuan Yi excels at connecting the reality by the painting. The section gives an analysis on the six poems and reveals that his painting poems refer to the imitation of scenery, or sigh with fleeting time, or yearn for his friend, or express his emotion.The second part discusses the Yuan Yi's poetic thoughts.The section one studies Yuan Yi uses for reference of the ancient poetry, such as the period before Wei and Jin dynasties,Southern Dynasties and Tang Dynasty. Firstly, the section discusses that the author carries forward The Book of Poetry and draws essence from The Analects of Confucius,Lao Zi,The Mencius,Zhuang zi,Zuo Zhuan, Stratagems of the Warring States and Metaphysical Works. Then, it shows that Jiang Yan's poems have an impact on Yuan Yi. Finally, it demonstrates that author advocates poetic thoughts of Tang dynasty by some examples that there are Du Fu,Li Bai,Wang Bo,Meng Haoran,Bai Juyi and Han Yu.The section two studies the origin of Yuan Yi's poetic thoughts. Based on the Jing Chun Tang Poetry, The section reveals Yuan Yi's thoughts from the points of Ritual Theory,Confucianism,Buddhism thought, and so on. Firstly, Yuan Yi has a high regard to ritual theory and the ritual thoughts of The Book of Rites and The Analects of Confucius.The poetry summaries Kuang Heng,Yan Zi and Yu Ji to prove Yuan Yi's thoughts.He looks up to noble people, so his poetry refers to Qu Yuan,Li Bai,and so on. Secondly, the section elaborates that the poems refer to the monks(Hui Yuan,Yuan Gong,Zan Gong),mortifying monk(Xi Fei),Buddhist architecture(Ding Hui Temple,Hu Qiu,Kai Yuan temple),Buddhist worship implements(staff),Buddhism terminology(Dragon,Magic Shade) in the poetry, which mirror the influence of Buddhist thought in the poetry. It proves that the Buddhist thought,atmosphere of isolation and the turbulent times make the author keep away from the world.
