In this thesis, the author attempt to discuss and research the combination of Chinese & Korean Color words with human body nouns on the basis of predecessors'researches, by borrow some structuralism and the cognition linguistics theories and use the method of Contractive Analysis. The full text has five chapters.Chapter one Introduction: This chapter mainly introduces the purpose and meaning of this topic, as well as present situation and research results of this area, and explains the theoretical basis, research methods and datum sources of this text.Chapter two: The form of combinations of Chinese and Korean color words with human body nouns and its syntax function: This chapter mainly discusses the structure of color words and human body nouns in these two languages, and also defines the object and scope of this thesis firstly. Secondly, we describe and analysis the kinds of combinations between Chinese and Korean color words with human body nouns and discuss their syntactic functions. Lastly, we sum up differences and similarities of the forms of combinations in two languages and also make a list to explain it.Chapter three is the semantic comparison of the combination of color words and the human body nouns in Chinese and Korean. In this chapter, the author mainly analyzes the semantic features of five color words, red, yellow, green, white, black, combined with the human body nouns. Through comparing them one by one, the author finds the differences and the similarities semantically. And then the author makes a list to explain it on the basis of summing up and coordinatingChapter four The cognitive explanation of Chinese and Korean color words and human body nouns: In this chapter, we use cognitive linguistics theory and methods, explore the semantic extension phenomenon from "metaphor" aspect and "metonymy" aspect when Chinese and Korean color words combine with human body nouns. And we also attempt to make a reasonable explanation about formation and differences of metaphor and metonymy of these combinations.Chapter five conclusions: To overview and summary the main conclusions of the thesis, point out deficiencies and the parts needing further research.
