This research expounded the theories about L2 motivations both at home and abroad, and made a questionnaire according to the daily behaviors of foreign students from Central Asia, the questionnaire had been tested within a small group of the students before the real survey begin. Then in the true survey, 160 students were tested and 134 valid questionnaires were taken back. Then the results of the questionnaires were analyzed by statistical methods. The results are as follows: 1. The dimension of academic motivation of learning Chinese of the students from Central Asia are divided into 5 parts: interest motivation, development-oriented motivation, internal motivation, learning situation motivation, expectancy of learning ability and absence of motivation. 2. The students'dimension of academic motivation of learning Chinese differ from each other according to their different ages, nationalities, types of learning and so on. 3. There is positive correlation between the students'interest motivation, internal motivation, learning situation motivation and there academic behavior.At last, the research gives some suggestion to how to improve the motivation of the students'from Central Asia according to the result and relative theories.
