This research expounded the main theories about second language learningmotivation at home and abroad, and formulated questionnaires of central Asianstudents’ Chinese learning motivation by combined with the central Asian studentslearning performance in daily life.140central Asian students of Xinjiang Universityparticipated in, and100effective questionnaires were taken back. Then it uses SWOTto analyze the questionnaire data, and the results are as follow:1. The central Asianstudents tend to internal reasons, belong to the crowd of high achievement motivationlevel, preferring self-serving attribution;2. Central Asian international students ofdifferent nationalities, studying aims, different ages, different gender, different levels,different learning styles have differences in perceptual dimensionalities of causeattribution;3. This article also analyzes the specific performance in attribution of thecentral Asian international students in various dimensionalities.Finally, this research put forward some own views and suggestions about how toguide the central Asian students positive attribution and how to maintain and enhancetheir Chinese learning motivation, with the combination of attribution theory, basingon results of the surveys.
