This paper takes the unearthed cultural relics from Mawangdui Tomb as research object. It explores, mainly from the perspective of aesthetic culture, the connotations and characteristics of aesthetic culture in early Han Dynasty, which is represented by Mawangdui Tomb, Changsha, Hunan.First of all, from the unearthed T-silk painting, color painted lacquer coffin, apparatus, grain, clothing and other buried objects in Mawangdui Tomb, you can see people's anticipation on the eternal life and belief on the immortal soul in early Han Dynasty, which manifests the accumulation of the primitive culture and the verification of ancient people's aesthetic pursuit. The unearthed cultural relic images concentrates a lot of myth and legend factors in ancient times, ingeniously combining the heaven and earth, thus fully demonstrates the aesthetic ideal of"unity of heaven and man". It originated from the dual influences of the deity culture and the romantic temperament of Chu culture.Secondly, the life pursuit of the fresh and beautiful aesthetic taste and romantic fashion in Early Western Han Dynasty has been clearly reflected from the category, form and the painting art of the unearthed cultural relics in Mawangdui Tomb. The extensive use of lacquer in Mawangdui Tomb, not only displays the perfect combination of the practical function and aesthetic culture embodied in the utensils of early Han Dynasty, but also reflects people's positive and optimistic spiritual pursuit and boundless love of life.Clothing, living and entertainment supplies, and various categories, bright colors, beautiful decorations, not only reproduces material and cultural life in early Han Dynasty, but also reflects the hierarchy of costumes, people's aesthetic sense and the nobility's living and spiritual pursuits of romantic fashion in early Han Dynasty.Finally, Chu culture itself is a complex with multi-cultural factors, continuously infused with the barbarian culture of Jingchu, Wuyue culture, and Shu culture. Due to the influence of the geographical environment, thoughts, customs and beliefs, the aesthetic culture of early Han Dynasty, represented by Mawangdui, formed a strange romantic aesthetic taste with geographical features. At the same time, the fusion of the ritual music culture in Central plain and Chu culture in the South of China, not only makes the aesthetic culture of early Han Dynasty have the temperament of"unity of heaven and man", fresh and beautiful fashion, and weird romance, but also reveals harmonious, dignified, elegant and aesthetic characteristics.
