With the development of English education and information technology in China, as the visual reality, Internet provides a new space of communication for people; computer-mediated language becomes more and more popular. At the same time, the Chinese-English code-switching in the Internet communication has drawn more and more scholars'attention in the field of linguistics. From sociolinguistic, psycholinguistic, grammatical and pragmatic perspectives, Researchers from different disciplines have made researches on code-switching used in different settings and made great achievements. Since micro-blogging, a new popular instant messaging system aroused, it is popular among netizens. Using Myers-Scotton's Matrix Language Frame Model, Verschueren's Linguistic Adaptation Theory and Yu's Adaptation Model which is the application and development of Verschueren's linguistic adaptation theory, this paper takes the language in micro-blogging as the research object, collects the real data from Sina micro-blogging, Sohu micro-blogging, Tencent micro-blogging, Netease micro-blogging to do some tentative research. The thesis mainly focuses on the following questions and offers some tentative answers:1 What kinds of special features does the Chinese/English code-switching of Chinese micro-blogging have?2 What factors lead to the occurrence of such a phenomenon?3 Which functions does this kind of code-switching have? With the analysis of the data collected from the micro-blogging, we have proved the feasibility of Myers-Scotton's Matrix Language Frame Model, Verschueren's Adaptation Theory and Yu's Adaptation Model.According to the analysis of all kinds of embedded language, it is easy to find that the proportion of the intra sentential code-switching is higher than the inter-sentential one, and the embedded words lose their original morphological inflection change and syntax feature in English. Instead, these words follow the matrix Chinese grammar rules. At the same time, this may refute the review that the English in Chinese/English code-switching may affect the purity of Chinese. On the other hand, by borrowing the adaptation theory, the author explains that Chinese/English code-switching in micro-blogging is as adaptation to linguistic reality, which include the English language existence and language features; as adaptation to social convention, (to avoid embarrassment; to mark or establish identity) and as adaptation to psychological factors: making humor; seeking fashion; bringing convenience or succinctness.Because the micro-blogging appears in resent years, it is difficult to collect the related sources. Limitations and weakness of the study are inevitable, which should be further improved in the future research.
