The Research Of Mo-tse's Environment Ethics Thoughts

Mozi,a well-known thinker, scientist, educator, military strategist and social activist, was living in Spring and Autumn period. Mohist School which Mozi founded was an important ideology of traditional Chinese culture. Mohism flourished for several centuries in China from the 5th century BC to the third century BC.The Environmental Ethic thought of Mozi is an important part of Mozi Idea, whose character of Mo-tse's Idea is of justice and profit. He pursues the public advantage of world, and advocates universal love the world and against the invading. His all views are Justice and Profit as his last goals. Studying that Mo-tse's ideas of Environmental Ethic has the reality worthy and theory value of building Ecological civilization of Socialist Market Economy.The foundation of "Mozi" Environmental Ethics'world view are "will of heaven", "anti-fatalism" and "Human Nature",and its foundation of value concept in Environmental Ethics are the behavior of values, the value choice and the value concept of the unity. The three-table method is the basis of "Mozi" epistemological environmental ethics. The ideological content of "Mozi" Environmental Ethics contains three parts. First, the pursuiting for "Benefit of world" is the value goal of Mozi Environmental Ethics. Secondly, the thinking path of environmental ethics of "Mozi"is explaining the logical link between "Shuntian" and "Yingren". The precondition of environmental ethics are "universal love"and"paying interest" ;The measures of environmental ethics is Economy; "Negating attack"and "anti-war"are its guarantee.With economy developing rapidly, how to draw and refer to Mo-tse's Idea of Environmental Ethic to realize the world peace and sustainable development, and to build better the harmonious society and ecological civilization to realize the fundamental interests of most of people, which is worthy of our thinking. Therefore,the "Mozi" Environmental Ethics have greater in modern society. It includes the enlightenment on establishing the value goal and constructing the value system and how to realize the contemporary environmental ethics.
