| Proverb, which is understood easily, is a special part of Chinese. To teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL), it is not only interested international students but a significant point for teaching. Meanwhile, it is an important way to spread Chinese culture into the world, and help students crossing the languages borders. Until now, so many researches about proverb were done; external teaching, however, is still not researched as much as idiom or consistent-word.101 proverbs, selected from 101 proverbs, selected from"Advanced Spoken Chinese","Chinese Course"and"Advanced Chinese reading and writing tutorial", were analyzed specifically from their initial meaning, pragmatics, rhetoric, speaking rule and so on. Base on that foundation and international student's using difficulties, some positive ideas are given.The essay is divided into five parts: The first part, simplifies the research's purposes, ideas, methods, current results, and so on. The second part, concluding Chinese proverb's derivation background, characteristics, and substances differ from idiom and two-part allegorical saying. In addition, emphasizing the important of advanced stage of proverb in TCFL . The third part, classifying 101 proverbs from three text books. The fourth part is about analyzing specifically from their initial meaning, pragmatics, rhetoric, speaking rule. The last part, some methods and recommends are given to help international students improve their language skills. |
