Nowadays the construct of perfectionism consists of two elements-positive perfectionism and negative counterpart, different with the narrow understandings that the construct of perfectionism is traditionally single and perfectionism is a negative personality traint. Based on what has been theorized about perfectionism, there are numerous researches on perfectionism, stress, coping styles, self-esteem and depression and the 5 varibles' relationships. The relationships are quite complicated and it's known to all that perfectionism do has impact on mental health. The impact is a double-edged sword, that is positive perfectionism has positive impact on mental health and the negative perfectionism is vice versa. The dual process model of perfectionism is that positive perfectionism and negative perfectionism have distinguished motivations, emotional status and cognitive process. The participants of previous researches are mostly colleage students, but little qualitative research is conducted to explore the perfectionism of organizational employees. The purpose of the research is to fill in the blank and give a description of current employees perfectionism status and its relationship with demographic variables. What's more, ther two latest multidimensional measures designed by Zifei-Zi's Positive Perfectionism Questionaire and Zi's Negative Perfectionism Questionaire, the associate Professor of Psychology department in Beijing Foresty University ware used in this research to divide employees into 4 groups, with the 2-step clustering analysis and find out their differecnce in several adaptive and maladaptive mental health indicators, such as perveived stress, self-esteem, negative coping, positive coping, job burnout and depression.Apart form the descriptive and clustering analysis, researcher also tempted to explore the mediator variables between perfectionism, job burnout and depression. Since perfectionism is a comparatively stabe personality traint and it's time-consuming to change it, it's worthy to find the mediator variables to reduce the negative impact on burnout and depression and find ways to increase the positive impact. Structual equation model is used to explore the mediator effect between perfectionism, coping, self-esteem, job burnout and depression. The outcomes of this research are as following:1. Negative perfectionism is positive with negative coping and negative with psotive coping. Meanwhile, Positive perfectionism is positive with positive coping and negative with negative coping.2. Negative perfectionism is negative with self-esteem, and positive perfectionism is postive with self-esteem.3. Employee's negative perfectionism is negative with mental health and positive perfectnism is positive with mental health.4. Employees can be divided into 4 groups, among all negative perfectionist has lowest level of meantal health.5. Self-esteem and coping are the mediator variables between perfectionism, job burnout and depression.
