The advantages of Cooperative learning (Team learning/Group learning) method in the current context of the World Education has become increasingly evident. In recent years, cooperative learning has been drifted off to university classroom in Vietnam, and became a highly regarded teaching method. Especially in the area of Chinese teaching, cooperative learning method creates a democratic learning environment for spoken Chinese classes. This method changes the traditional roles of teachers and students, improves learning atmosphere, and brings students more and more opportunities to improve their oral Chinese and other capabilities through communication and trainings.By observing a third-grade spoken Chinese class in Hanoi University of Languages and International Studies, the author of this thesis found that cooperative learning approach brought significant effects to Advanced spoken Chinese Teaching. In addition, according to the result of conducted the survey on the teacher and students of the class, the teacher has certain knowledge about this method, and has positive attitudes towards it; student's ability to express their ideas in Chinese has been highly improved as they participate in cooperative learning method. However, considering the complexity of teaching and of studying, cooperative learning also contains some limitation.With documentary research, observation, case analysis, investigation, interview and other methods; draw on research of predecessors about cooperative learning and the development approach of oral Chinese skills; combined with the actual teaching situation, the author found the positive effects and also the deficiencies of this method on using on Chinese Speaking skill teaching. The author also recommends a number of plausible solutions to improve the positive effects and reduce the deficiencies of this method in spoken Chinese teaching.
