From the point of view of linguistic typology, Chinese and Vietnamese are isolated languages, so they have to use word order and grammatical function words as the most important means. Indo-European language use morphological changes as a means to express the comparison, Chinese and Vietnamese use some fixed structures to express comparison. We call these fixed structures the "patterns". From the syntactic patterns and sentence sense of Chinese and Vietnamese comparative sentences, there are similarities and differences between them, these similarities and differences can lead to the difficulties of Vietnamese students in learning Chinese. Therefore, this paper analyzed and compared the two languages from the compositions and patterns of sentences, and summarized the corresponding patterns of comparative sentences in Chinese and Vietnamese.This paper is divided into 3 parts:Part 1:Introduction on the research scope, research methods and the research significance, research present situation of the comparative sentences in Chinese and Vietnamese.Part 2:The content of this paper.The first chapter is on Chinese and Vietnamese " X比Y+W " syntactic comparison, first this chapter compared the compositions of comparative sentences of the two languages, and then syntax of" X比Y+W " will be compared.The second chapter is on Chinese and Vietnamese " X不如Y+W " syntactic comparison, and then the composition of syntactic format will be analyzed.The third chapter is on Chinese and Vietnamese " X跟Y一样+W " syntactic comparison, first it will compare the composition, sentence patterns and then compare the syntactic format.The forth chapter is on Chinese and Vietnamese " X不比Y+W" syntactic comparison, first it will compare the composition, sentence patterns and then compare the syntactic format.The fifth chapter summarized the errors of Vietnamese students when using the Chinese comparative sentences.Part 3:Focus on an analysis of the differences and similarities of the comparative sentences in Chinese and Vietnamese.
