The Research Of Gao Guanguo

Ci is called " the essence of literature " in North Song and South Song Dynasties as a style of expressing emotions.Ci had grown up since Late Tong and Wudai Dynasties, gone through the further development by generations of Ci writers in North Song, entered a stage of many schools of literature which had a trend of maturing in South Song. The role of Saoya group was of the utmost importance both in South Song and aftertime. As one of representative figures of Saoya group, Gao Guanguo located a crucial position in the history of Ci.Gao Guanguo had made friends with Shi Dazu and Lu You who lived in corresponding period. Gao Guanguo relied on the literary talent of roaming about beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains and the scope of concerning about current events. Gao Guanguo inherited the traditional style of Late long and Wudai, formed his elegant and exquisite style. He learned cool artistic conception of Ci of Jiang Kui, formed his quiet and beautiful style. Meanwhile Gao Guanguo imitated composition of single song of Yan and Qin in Early North Song Dynasty. In the Ci of chanting thing, Gao observed the object in a subtle way, and his style was similar to Su Shi, but was different from Jiang Kui. Ci of Gao Guanguo had been many discussed from different angles by generations of critics since it appeared. In a word, most of these critics acknowledged the unique style of art and language of Ci of Gao. However, these comments were careful and meticulous seemingly, and actually they were to tend to be formal and lack theory or systematization. So I carry out the research of Ci of Gao, standing the high degree of theory of Ci and develop history of Ci. This thesis will been written in three aspects:Part of introduction will be composed the necessity of research of Gao Guanguo, and the situations, objectives and methods of this research.Part One investigates the situations of making friends in Gao Guanguo's life. Besides Gao made friends with Chen Zao, I find Gao made bosom friends with Shi Dazu:Gao and Shi travelled in Hangzhou; when Shi was sent to Jin Dynasty on a diplomatic mission, they had some responsories; Gao congratulated on Shi's birthday. Also I find Gao made friends with Lu You:when Lu You returned to his native, Gao congratulated on Lu's birthday. By revealing South Song historical background, this part summarily describes general situations of making friends in Gao Guanguo's life. Part Two analyses subjects and contents, artistic style and location in the history of Ci in depth.At first, comparing with subjects of traditional Ci on the whole, Ci of Gao Guanguo had little new things. So we only review traditional subjects of Ci of Gao which were male-female amour,thought of living in a strange land, mourn the ancient and grieve at the modern, and try to excavate which surpassed the predecessor hard from Ci of Gao. Meanwhile we watched subjects of Ci of Gao by seasonal order and congratulating others' birthday in South Song. In addition, it is paid attention to the fact that Gao opened up subject of chanting thing.Secondly, the style of Ci of Gao must be exposited overall. From its mellow and full, to its shady and cool and beautiful, from its mild and graceful in single song, to the identity of object and self in chanting thing. The appearance of being mellow and full divides four parts:bright-colored and magnificent; minuteness and literary quotation. Comparing with style of Late Tong, Wudai, Early North Song Dynasties and Jiang Kui, we try to find the successive relationship between Ci of Gao and traditional Wanyue Ci or Saoya Ci, and find where Gao blazed new trails. So that real features of artistic skill in Ci of Gao Guanguo are drawn further.At last, on the ground of looking back the stages of history of Ci, we put Ci of Gao Guanguo into the rheology of develop history of Ci, it's certain that Ci of Gao was one of important links in the history of Ci. So that style of writing in Ci of Gao Guanguo can be located exactly in the history of Ci, that is, Ci poetry which was produced by composer of ci poetry.
