Xie Zhen is an important figure in the Chinese Ming Dynasty. His achievements on the poesy creation and poetics theory have greatly advanced the development of Ming literature.To research the evolution of the poetry and poetry status in the literary history of the Ming Dynasty, investigating his productions is very necessary. This article attempts to arrange poetics theory and poetry creation and analyze the thought content in the poetics theory and thought content. Following the footsteps of the poet to research the poetics thought,to realize the true feeling and understanding the poet's spirit world. So this article deeply analyses the productions of Xie Zhen and proves his positions in the history of Ming.This article includes six parts. The preface is about the history and current situation of Xie Zhen's poetry. The first chapter depicts Xie Zhen's life and productions. The second chapter introduces the Xie Zhen's poetics theory. He generalize the act as rules of flourishing Tang Dynasty poems,xing,qu,yi,li and emotion combine with scene. His reforming to his formers. The third chapter is centered on the Xie Zhen's poesy and analyses the spirit in his productions. It include frontier fortress poem, people's livelihood poem,buddhist poem,family and friendship poem. The fourth chapter concludes the artistic characteristics of his poesies. His poesies not only have the frontier fortress poetry of the unrestrained and elegant,but also comtain the lyric poetry of the weak grief. But either style poem ,it has all express his real emotions. The last gives Xie Zhen's status in the Ming literatus and points out his effects as a link between the preceding and the following in the restorative trend.
