Animation, which fills with magical color, can be traced back to ancient times as an art form, however, the birth of animation was just hundred years ago. Reviewing the history of the development of Chinese animation, we can see that it has enjoyed a development of more than eighty years since 1926. Chinese animation has experienced exploring and short brilliant in the past, and it wanders today, not knowing which way to go. Particularly in recent years, while American and Japanese animation are popular in China, Chinese animation has failed to create nationalized animation which adapts to the needs of the Chinese audiences, and satisfy the masses of cultural needs, despite of incentives and supportive policies from government, long-standing cultural resources, the broad and profound artistic heritage in our country. In view of this, carrying out in-depth study of nationalized animation becomes an important subject of developing and flourishing Chinese nationalization culture industry. Statistics show that the reason for the downturn of Chinese animation is the crux of the comprehensive effect, with the major core issue of not grasping the demand and psychological mechanism of audiences accurately, and not having set up the interactive bridge between the ascension of original creativity of nationalization animation and psychological mechanism of audience.Animation has the features of artistry, narrative and fantasy, so the audience has some special psychological mechanism in the process of appreciation. Only the scripts and animated characters designed according to the psychological mechanism of audience, can match the audience expected visions, national cultural psychology and aesthetic value. In this way, the Chinese animation initiative can be really enhanced,, and the construction of complete animation industry chain can be promoted, so does the development of the animation industry. Five thousand years of Chinese traditional culture provides rich resources for the development of Chinese animation industry. It is necessary to uphold and develop the traditional culture, enrich the tradition with new connotations. Works created with the organic integration of the traditional culture and national spirit in animation, can meet the psychological mechanism of audience, activate and guide the audience's needs, attract their attention of animation and its derivatives. This article summarizes five elements of the psychological mechanism of animation audience using the method of inductive analysis, they are fantasy personality of human childhood, the formation of the aesthetic tendency, national culture accumulation, the shaping of the spirit of the age and the human spirit. Reflect on how to accurately grasp the needs and psychological mechanisms of the audience for the creation of the script, the design of character, and modeling, this article tries to find out the main problems of the originality of Chinese animation to guide its development by exploring American and Japanese successful experience. And then this article puts forward suggestions for promoting the development and prosperity of Chinese national animation industry. First, combine the tradition with innovation, by drawing the essence of traditional culture with different disciplines, different artistic classes, different technical performance means, different thinking forms as an effective innovation; Second, value the importance of nationality and internationalism coexistence and inclusiveness, reconstruct and integrate the traditional culture and foreign culture in external form and connotation; Third, integrate the positioning of the animation of all ages and the development of its derivate products, to form a mutual unified production model ranging from the earlier research, the positioning of the audience and the development of latter-day derivatives.
