The Research Of China's International Cultural Exchange Route From The Perspective Of Cultural Soft Power

Since the 90s of the 20th century, with the continuous cultural emancipation and development of productive forces, the world entered the era of Cultural Soft Power. With increasing overall National Power, China's international status is rising rapidly. Cultural soft power is playing an important part in the overall National Power, so as cultural competition. The enhancement of China's cultural soft power is a fundamental way to the prosperity of the country. A country's international status and influence depends on the size, resource availability, economic strength and military strength, but also has a close relation with its cultural affinity, international image, innovation and external relationship with other countries. Culture is a country's soft power, the soul of a nation, an important support to promote economic development, and it also represents its level of civilization and development. It is related to the statehood, governance, and rejuvenating of a nation. International cultural exchange has become particularly important. China's international cultural exchange policy has focused on the implementation of the cultural "going out" strategy, so the research of China's international cultural exchange route from the perspective of cultural soft power has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper uses the combination of macro and micro, abstract and concrete, theoretical analysis and empirical analysis methods to make a thorough and systematic study on China's international cultural exchange with the theory of soft power as the background, which was put forward by Joseph Nye, especially cultural soft power theory.This paper is divided into four chapters. First chapter introduces the purpose and significance of topics, research review, research ideas and methods. The second chapter defines the concept of cultural soft power and its importance, introduces the core concept of culture and cultural exchange, and its importance in enhancing the cultural soft power. The third chapter analyzes the current situation of China's international exchange, and then it introduces Chinese international cultural work policy - culture "going out" strategy, including the strategy's background, its meaning, significance, necessity and constraints while giving a typical case of the practice of China's international cultural exchange policy: the Chinese Culture Year. It summarizes the achievements of cultural exchange, identified the existing problems. The fourth chapter is the focus of this paper, based on the previous three chapters, it analyzes the existing problems and proposes some suggestions of effective ways and policy construction on China'international cultural exchanges, to enhance China's cultural soft power.
