Challenge And Reference Of Soft Power Construction In China

Cultural soft power building is important for the improvement of countries’ overall strength and the guarantee of people’s cultural rights. In recent years, cultural soft power building of China has gained some good results, but there is still some way to go if the process is compared with developed countries. There is a saying in China that foreign stones may serve to polish domestic jade, which means the experience of western developed countries is important for us to refer to. Therefore, based on previous research achievements, this article utilized document analysis method, historical analysis method and method of comparative analysis to probe into the present situation and challenges for cultural soft power of our country, and referred to developed countries’model as a mirror, trying to find tactics of cultural soft power building for our country. This article is divided into followed parts;This article was aimed to discuss the challenges related to cultural soft power building of our country. In ancient time, the influence of China’s cultural soft power was extensive and far-reaching, however, at present; there is quite a few deficiencies during the process of cultural soft power building. First of all, resources of cultural soft power have not been fully transformed to influence. Secondly, cultural industry has not been well developed, hardly to meet people’s need. The last but not the least, cultural spreading force is not sufficient, and culture deficit is relatively high.The third chapter mainly summarized the guidance behind the model and experience of developed countries’cultural soft power building process. USA resorts to market-oriented model, putting cultural development in the middle of market economy and civil society, focusing on openness. France and Japan also have their comprehensive cultural soft power building methods. In summary, there are three tips that we can take through the comparative study. Firstly, establish cultural development strategy which is in accordance of fundamental realities of our country and relies on relevant laws as guarantee. Secondly, utilize strong cultural industry as main carrier. Thirdly, focus on building strong hard power, utilize traditional culture as foothold and take an active part in international communication.I think, the article suggested the importance to establish a strong base of cultural soft power building. The main tactics include three parts. Firstly, take a command of the composition of our country’s cultural soft power. Secondly, focus on innovation of the model of cultural development. Thirdly, build cultural development structure based on the coordination among government, market and the third sector, which is a important factor of cultural resource integration and protection.
