| The educational novel is also called "the characteristic improved novel",which generally consists of growth novel and school(or family)-educational novel (also educationist novel). It can be traced back to Goethe's《Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship》,which is also the first typical growth novel in the west world. And Rousseau's《Emile》created a traditon for the educationist novel .but along with the development of the western capitalism ,the educationalist novel became less and weaker ,in contrast to the development and properity of the growth novel . In China, the first educational novel is Li lvyuan's《Qiludeng》,but until the early time of last centrary ,it did not develope into a systematic theory of the educational novel.It is Chinese education novelists represented by Ye Shengtao and their works that have improved the development and prosperity of Chinese educational novels.And their works are enlightened,critical and one-way developed due to the special era. This theme consists of three parts : the introduction, the context and the conclusion, and the context also contains four chapters. Chinese educational novels are differents greatly from the western ones because of their diffrent histories and cultures ,which still exists nowadays .This theme concentrats on the characteristics and developments of the educational novels during the Enlightenment terms. About the modern education novel, we focus on two aspects: the relations between the educational novels and education system, the improvement of the educational novel to the educational practices. And from the study we can see that the development of the educational novel is up to the educational system to a great extent; and can improve the practices in education. |
