The ancient education in Zhangye has a long history.In the long process of development,the school system gradually improved and reached a climax in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Zhangye's ancient education began in the Han Dynasty's county culture;in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,the private education was prosperous,and the private education educators Guo He and Guo Yu were born.During the Sui and Tang Dynasties,the imperial examination system was born.Wang Wei and Chen Ziang wrote poems about Zhangye's frontier poems;During the Qing Dynasty,a large number of colleges appeared,and there were a large number of records in the inscription on Zhangye's education.At this point,Zhangye's education reached its climax.In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the number of inscriptions on Zhangye's education was considerable.According to statistics,there were a total of 33 educational inscriptions in Zhangye during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The rich educational inscriptions provide important historical support for the study of Zhangye education and social culture.According to their nature,Zhangye's educational inscriptions in Ming and Qing Dynasties can be roughly divided into three major types: official education,justice and social education,and college education.Among them,there are a large number of official educational inscriptions and the content mainly reflects the local official education,the worship hole and the Wenchang belief.Local officials attach importance to Zhangye Culture Education to build various educational institutions to raise funds for education.Some of the contents of the official education inscriptions reflect the Confucius and Wenchang beliefs,and Wen Changxin has derived the educational policy of “both liberal arts and sciences,both morality and ethics”.The social science and the education of the school of justice have embodied the socialization and folkization of Confucianism to a certain extent.Zhangye's private school originated from social studies and formed his righteousness and private school on the basis of social science.As a preparatory school for the academy,the school of justice and private school lay the foundation for students to enter the academy.The inscriptions on the education of the academy mainly record the teachers and curriculum,student management and education fund management,which reflect the spirit and essentials of the academy and provide an important guarantee for the establishment of the school and the development of education.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,Zhangye's educational inscriptions were completely destroyed,mainly due to natural disasters and war damage.However,in the records of local history and other historical materials,Zhangye's educational inscriptions in the Ming and Qing Dynasties were rich in content.Therefore,it is very important to protect and utilize these precious inscriptions.In the conclusion part,the specific protection measures are briefly mentioned.It is necessary to improve the inscription literature,copy the inscription on the inscription,and organize and publish the Zhangye Education stones.There is no professional inscription protection expert in the Zhangye area,and experts in the inscription protection should be hired to professionally copy the inscription.Guided by the system,the Zhangye Education Inscription Museum was established to help us better understand the development of education in Zhangye.
