"Huai Nan Zi" originally called "Huai Nan Hong Lie" was written by many authors assembled by Huainan King Liu An of Xihan dynasty.The Feature of This works is rich content, clear dating and moderate length. It not only keeps records of the characteristics of the Han dynasty language as well as Pre-Qin period language, so it is an important valuable linguistic material. The before research didn't involved its parts of speech, in this thesis, we research the adjectives of "Huai Nan zi" from the following aspects:1. By detailly counting, we know that "Huai Nan Zi" altogether has 733 adjectives and analysis them from the form and the significance. Meanwhile we study parts of all adjectives from the their sounds and explanations2. With sufficient materials, we investigate the different category of those and find that them act as the syntactic component to adjectives of "Huai Nan Zi", and discovered that those adjectives might act as the predicate, the attribute, the subject, the object, the adverb and the few complements. Its concrete distribution with "Guo Yu", "Lv Shi Chun Qiu" the adjective acts the same syntactic component.3. The adjective concurrently kind with apply flexibly to "Huai Nan Zi" makes the discrimination, the different category adjective concurrently kind applies flexibly the situation has made the detailed inspection. We discover the amount of monosyllable adjective is more than the polysyllabic ones, the nature adjective is more than the condition adjective; Applies flexibly is more than for the verb adjective applies flexibly for the noun adjective.4. Unifing semantic relations of "Huai Nan Zi", adjectives, we investigate their different category together usage and the reason. We discovered that the partial adjectives may be used together directly and indirectly, and this kind of usage formed after the influence of Han bestows.
