The Secular And Literati Culture

On the turnning point of Ming and Qing Dynasty, Ningbo is on the forefront of the local government Nanming Lu Wang which has been under an unsteady environment. Its social manufacture suffers a great loss and people's lives are under extreme misery. However, looking back to the period of the 16th from the 18th century in Ningbo region, the culture not only appears intergrity, but also stands on the first class all over the nation. Furthermore, Wan`s family (origin in Dingyuan, Anhui) in Yin district, springs up several generations of celebrities, such as Wan Biao,Wan Tai,Wan Sitong,Wan Sixuan,Wan Sinian,Wan Yan,Wan Jing,Wan Chengxun, which arouse much approbation in a time in academic circle. The paper tries to sort out the relatively satisfying genealogy network of the cultural space and cultural heritage from the interaction of time and space, to show the celebrity ethos and literature in Yin County, and in turn to further explore a representative detailed case——the inner logic and external opportunity of development of the cultural lineage of Wan's family. the paper roughly analyzed as follows:Chapter one: To proceed from the Yin districts'regional and characteristic culture, the paper analyzes cultural values of Yin country from spatial factors and then this paper explores the general cultural phenomenon of Yin, such as cultural sages, the work about finishing native literature, being good at collecting books, paying attention to education, culturalcommunication. Through provoking some researches on some members who come from cultural family in Yin County district to show the family's recognition on regional culture.Chapter two: From the piont of ethos and responsibilities of the celebrities ,most of which come from Yin country. The paper emphasizes on the academical thoughts and continuer of the Confucianism tradition. of cultural family in Yin country during Ming and Qing Dynasty.Chapter three: the paper selects a galaxy of scholars who come from Wan family which is not only influenced by the ethos of Yin secularization and tradition but also swifted from a martial famliy to a cultural famliy, as a detailed example in the seventeenth century. They are Wan biao, the Zhejiang Yong Wang's main representative , the disciple of Liu Zongzhou; Wan tai, the loyalty of Yong Shi, the disciple of Huang Zongxi; Wan Sitong, the expert who study the History of the Ming dynasity; Wan Sitong`s nephew, the expert of Ming historian , to highlight their values on the Lu Wang ideology, Confucianism, and their sentiments to their home as a way to show the badge of thoes representitive gentlemen which is given by the unique celebrities ethos and literature. Finally, this paper outlines the formation of eastern Zhejiang cultural regions, the development of the status of Yin academical culture, and reiterates the function and meanings of cultural families on the river of Chiniese historical development, the interaction of the cultural families and regional culture to show that regional culture plays an active part on the cultural families and so does the cultural families.
