In the Chinese Anti-Japanese War time, the calligraphers and the cultural relics were compelled to move to the interland of southwest China massively. Through combing the calligraphy and the cultural relics demonstration , carrieing on the comparison to the calligraphy ontology, this article discovers the southwest calligraphy had changed and formed the unique region style respectively after the Sino-Japanese War .In the creation demonstration, before moving to the interland, the southwest calligraphy had been at the extra-curricular condition, regards the calligraphy to equate in the utility function ; After moving to the interland in the Sino-Japanese War ,influenced by Calligraphers and cultural relics , calligraphy started to step onto the specialized path.The calligraphy works became the artwares appreciated for the people, even commodities for life.Chongqing Calligraphy had developed"er-wang"(two wangs) placard study system as representative, On the basis of Shen Yinmo and Pan Boying, a wide range of learning the song dynasty "advocating interest" calligraphy style, eventually forming style of expressing feelings and fine calligraphy . In succession of Confucian classics and absorbing the essence of BeiXue, Guizhou calligraphy emphasized horizontal development, forming a plain, majestic BeiXue calligraphy style as the characteristic.Before the moving to the Southwest of this period,there were little research works on calligraphy theory . After the baptism of moving to the interland, especially influencing by some scholar-calligraphers, the western region style had stepped onto the discipline path . People began to use some of the methods of modern science to do calligraphy research, making it systematized and rational gradually.From the promoting function of calligrahpers and cultural heritages in the the War of Resistance, we found that the formation of the regional calligraphy style has great relations with the calligraphy ontology ,calligrapher individuals and the cultural backgrounds, with multi-faceted and complexity factors.Through combing this historical phenomenon and analyzing differences and relations of the calligraphy phenomenon before and after the Sino-Japanese War,We might formulate the southwest calligraphy art next-step strategy well, and supplement the 20th century calligraphy history research content.
