During the Anti-Japanese War, Southwest China became the resistance base which was also the center of politics, military, economy and culture. With the wish of fighting for their nation’s independence and world peace, some revolutionaries from the oppressed nations came to Southwest China to fight side by side with the Chinese against the Japanese invaders. Besides Taiwan Volunteers and the organizations of overseas Chinese, these groups included Korean Provisional Government, Youth Team of Korean Liberation Front, Korean Volunteers, Japanese People’s Anti-War League in China, the branch of Vietnam Independence League in Guilin, Sino-Vietnam Cultural Work Comrade, Vietnam National Liberation Coalition, Vietnam Revolutionary League and so on. They made a great contribution to the War of Resistance against Japan. The thesis consists of four parts. The first part is about the historical backgrounds to the fact that the anti-Japanese groups gathered in Southwest China. The reasons why these groups gathered there will be analyzed in terms of political and geographic aspects and the sketch of their activities will be presented in this part. Political factors mean that these groups can carry out activities in Southwest China just because they were under the command of the national government of China, accepted support from China’s government or cultivated a relationship with National Government for the policies the government adopted. Geographic factors refer to the fact that considering the convenience of returning to Vietnam for revolution, the Vietnamese revolutionary groups chose Guangxi Province as their base and patriotic overseas Chinese returned to homeland for service in the war by way of Burma Road. The second part briefly summarizes the foundation and development of the aiding-China groups in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, other Southeast Asian areas and comments on all of their activities, achievements and defects. The third part analyzes the international anti-Japanese groups’main activities which include propaganda, political work and wartime service and clarify this section by taking examples, such as the propaganda directed against enemy troops by Korean Volunteers and the Japanese People’s Anti-War League in China in the battle of Kunlun Pass. The forth part is the general comment on the anti-Japanese groups in Southwest China. These groups efficiently supported the Anti-Japanese war, inspired Chinese people’s confidence in resistance and also won world sympathy and support for the Anti-Japanese war. Furthermore, their activities not only promoted the development of the Southwest China, but also advanced their own pace of revolution.
