Teaching methods have always fascinated those who are interested in language teaching. Many aspects are explored for improving the teaching practice. As one of the investigating activities, this dissertation focuses on the formation of a comparatively efficient approach? the Integrated Approach. This thesis holds that to improve the minority English major (EM) students?communicative competence, the teacher should have a good understanding of the existing factors that block the improvement of their communicative competence and the new social demand for them. The paper then provides the theoretical basis of the Integrated Approach, the teaching contents and teaching activities. A communicative-based curriculum is suggested. It is expected that a contribution can be made by cautious study carried out in his thesis.
