A Study Of The 'uncertainties'in Shuo WenShiLi

ShuoWEnShiLi is an important word by WangYun, a scholar in Qing dynasty In this book ,WangYun made a complete and systematic illustration of the style of ShuoWenJieZi. Therefore, later researchers often focused their view on the illustrating part of this book,while the other parts were often neglected. This paper is about the research for the ncertainties?in the last volumes of ShuoWenShiLi, with an intent to provide a complement for the complete research of ShuoWenShiLi.This paper consists of three parts. Part One serves as an introduction, which tells about purpose of this paper, the recent research, and the methods and procedures of the composition. Part Two deals with the collation for ShuoWenJieZi, which plays an important part in the research for ShuoWenJieZiThirty percent of the items in the sections about the ncertainties?have something to do with collation, which shows that WangYun attached a great importance to collation. The correctness of the collation conclusion depends to a great degree on the soundness of the collation approaches. Biginning with WangYun collation approaches, w made an evaluation of his collation together with practical conclusions. Part Three deals with the analysis of the related items in the process of our classification, and a conclusion is researched that the proportion of the precise and essentially precise items in WangYun analysis is rather high. WangYun?s achievement in this field is outstanding.
