| According to Marxist theory of reproduction, production, distribution, exchange and consumption are the four links in reproduction.Production determines distribution while distribution comes the reaction of production.lf distribution goes beyound or behind the standard of produtive forces,it will hinder the development of productive forces.ours being a large agricultural country, the basic issue in the Chinese revolution and construction is the one about peasants and rural areas.Therefore, it's of great importance to settle the distribution of individual income in the agricultural field. One typical example of distribution system, which was infuenced by equalitarianism, is the one of the integration of wage system and supply system, which was carried out in the early of the people's Republic. To find out its historical reasons will certainly be of great in the primary stage of socialism.The Great Leap Foreward in 1958 gave birth to People's Commue.No sooner had People's Commue came into being thai~ the distribution system of the integration of wage system and supply system was widely put into practice.At that time there were three ways in carrying out the distribution system----the system of integration of basic wage and reward, of semi-supply snd semi-wage, of basic living supply and working allowances.Through investigating the distribution system of the integration of wage system and supply system, which was carried out in the early years of the people's Repulic, We realize that this kind of distribution system was the result of the great Leap Foreward and anxious transition, which emerged and existed at the high tide of leftist errors and later ended with the correctness of the Leftist errors. To be conccete, the reasons why it was carried out lies in the following: (1)Losing contact with reality, overanxiousness for quick results and the wish of early transition to communism. (2)Lack of knowledge of distribution according to work in socialism.(3)Being unrealistically optimistic about the economic situation at that time.(4)The popularity of equalitarianism in small-scale production.(5) The influence of international society.The distribution system of the integration of wage system and supply system saw four stages--widespread practice, adjustment, enforcement of practice and final abrogation.This system lasted as long as four years and has left usa bitter lesson.it didn't rsult in the realization of hundreds of millions of peasant's common prosperity, but on the contrary, it dampened the peasant's working enthusiasm and aggravate poverty in rural areas.Not only did the system cause an enormous waste of grain, but seriously lost contact with our national conditions, and went beyond the standard of the masses' political understanding. Hence we are able to draw the following conclusions:(I )Distribution is determined by production and it can't go beyond the standard of productive forces. (2)Some areas and some people should,through hard work, be allowed to become prosperous and be rich tirst.Only by this means can we realize commom prosperity. (3)Socialism must oppose equalatarianism. (4)Policy makers must listen attentively to the views of the masses. We must find out the truth but not be confused by false appearances.Democratic system of the Party and the nation must be established and perfected.It's been proved by fact that the tragedy of carrying out the distribution system of the integration of wage system and supply system was the tragedy of persisting in an impoverished,vigid and equalitarian pattern of socialism. As we're building socialism and are trying to catch up with the modern civilization of the world, we must emancipate our minds, seek truth form facts,be through aware of the foundamental condition of our country----we are,and will be in a long period time in the primary stage of socialism, We must stick to the foundmental points of Deng XiaoPing's Theory and the important decisions made at the Party's 1 5tb Session and get rid of those leftist, utopian and ahead-of -stage...
