Taking Western Fujian Hakkas Chns(iani(y(l 883-1949) as (he focus of study, the essay is to explore the relation between Christianity and Western Fujian Society, from four aspects: the spread of Christianity in Western Fujian Hakkas area, the Christian social activities in Hakkas area of Western Fujian, Christianity and Western Fujian Revolution, and Christianity and Western Fujians Hakkas culture,to illustrate interlalion between (he missionary activities and Western Fujian Hakkas society, and to analyse in cultural perspective the interrelated causes and (he conscious and unconscious integration by relating the cultural conflict to the political background of the great powers.Finally, it also has some exploration in the Hakkas' acceptance level to Christianity.
