College English Teaching (GET) is an important component of the quality-oriented education for college students. In the course of the investigation into GET, the author finds out that many problems still exist. As to the teaching aim, many teachers and students emphasize memorization more than communication; with respect to the teaching arrangement, insufficient attention is paid to meet the need of teaching to create real situations or atmospheres corresponding to the teaching content which leads to arousing the students' emotional experiences and the students' active learning; in view of the motivation, quite a lot of teachers teach for tests, and students learn for tests, too; with regard to questioning and answering in class, teachers prefer the interrogative way to the dialogistical way. Thus, this paper searches for solutions to the existing problems by means of documentary consultation, logical deduction and experimental performance.Teaching strategies refer to the methods and procedures to fulfil teaching objectives and to meet the students' needs. By applying the learning theory of Constructivism and the Second Language Acquisition, the communication-dialogue model is proposed to solve the problems mentioned above. The strategies include the following: (1) intersubjectivity interaction strategy in the situational teaching; (2) challenging target and reinforcement strategy; (3) cooperative learning strategy in the topic teaching; (4) the strategy of strengthening in the expectancy-effect teaching; and (5) the dialogistical strategy in the discussion teaching. The research proves that the teaching strategies mentioned above are effective in improving students' listening, speaking, reading and writing, developing a good learning habit and enhancing self-taught ability.
