Content: This thesis presents concisely the social and cultural background of the existence of Shanghai-School Fiction and probes into the causes of modernity characteristics, which Shanghai-school Fiction takes on under this background. It expounds the perceptual narrative that Shanghai-school Fiction employs in the existence dilemma of value imbalance and morality disorder and the decadent state of life manifested.
