In the future, the successful business enterprise is that which utmost exploit the soft function of design, which try to optimize the unity of product, business enterprise, and market. This requests the industry design to make the business enterprise go to the active cognition market, analysis markets. So they can guide the market's development direction, and not get into the passivity of following market current. And it requests that the industry design concern in all-directions thought, all-directions design, and all-directions part in of the business enterprise. On the other hand it requests the business enterprise put the industry design to a important place, make a good internal environment for the development of industry design.On one hand, the design is a creative activity, similar to the art's activity. On the other hand, it is rational too, and similar to the logical science's activity. It's just because of this kind of characteristic; the market and the technique restrict the design. It makes the design experienced the different design sects and the different design culture, and taken place to turn over the variety. With the England Industrial Revolution, in the late of 18 centuries, as a watershed, the design before that makes a point of decorating and neglects practice, which after that then passed by the Craft Art Campaign, the New Art Campaign, the Decorating art Campaign, etc. those stormy design campaign, and ultimately open the front door of the modern design. From the Holland style sect, the streamlined design in the United States, the German function doctrine sect, the international doctrine style to the diversification design, the post-modernism, lately modernism, etc., Modem design develops fast as a Chinese proverb: as the thunder comes so soon that you can't even shelter the ears.The market competes make it certain that any business enterprises must constantly work hard, constantly enterprising, otherwise one day there would be other competition to replace it, and it would be deserted by the society. It requests the enterprise innovates continuously. Today's product innovation is at all-directions, no longer confine to the technique, or the shape, is entering the standard innovation age. Who control the standard of design, who control the market. The one absent for the innovation will be the last one always. From the process of producing a product to falling off, a kind of product in the initial stage primarily is a competition of standard technique. The technique standards compete to expand, and occupy the market then come to the formation of the consuming mental state. During the saturated period the competition is primarily in the aspect as the comfortable degree, external appearance, after-sales service, product cost. In the situation of emphasizing the characteristic consuming and the merchandise excess, the consumer demand products more and more meticulous. The rough packing, coarseness appearance, cant draw on the consumer's attention. Today, the value of the commodity involves more than the cost of the material, the paying to workers, the depreciation of sets and the cost of transportation, and soon ,the visible "hard" value, and involves the novelty , the applicable of the technique, the whole excellent design of product, the after-sales service, and the product culture ,so on ,the invisible "soft" value. With the regeneration of the consuming concept and the development of the market, the "soft" value takes a bigger part in the commodity value. The same product, the same function, and the same manufacturing cost, may make the selling price differ several times because of the design. Therefore, to make a good product design has the unordinary realistic meaning to the companies On the other hand, the product span has a tight relation to the product value, also a tight relation to the benefits of business enterprise.
