Before and after a course of 6 times ECT Clinical Memory Score and Reaction Time were tested. The results are showed below:1. There proves no difference between the sexes and years of educationbefore and after the course of treatment tested by the Clinical Memory Score and Reaction Time.2. The result tested by Clinical Memory Score and Reaction Time showedECT has negative effect on the cognition of target memory and image characteristic recall, but it has positive effect on learning.3. The change of cognition has no relation with convulsive duration minimum voltage illness duration and age.
