Objective:On the base of research results in the past, this thesis will do a scientific research by using the Meta-cognition Intervention Technique is able to cure Body Dysmorphic Disorder for college students, and it will further verify some questions, such as the effective of the treatment on Body Dysmorphic Disorder by using the Meta-cognition Intervention Technique, the course of treatment, prognostic keeping, and so on.Methods:Select four Body Dysmorphic Disorder college clients from the Counseling Center of Liaoning Normal University and psychological association of Dalian Polytechnic University as the research objects, and the thesis will design an experimental research by applying Multiple-baseline design. It takes the scores of Symptom Checklist90(SCL-90), Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (YBOCS) and Personal Evaluation Inventory (PEI) for the standard of the curing. In the research, it will use the self-made Obsessive-Compulsive Symptoms Self-Assessment (OCSSA) and Fear-strength Self-Assessment (FSSA) to record the times of typical actions, strength, time, and so on. And take the results of OCSSA and FSSA as indicators of multiple baseline experimental design.Results:All the clients have received the test of SCL-90after the intervention, the scores of abnormal factors are lower than the demarcation; the results of PEI show that the confidence level of four clients is obviously improved after the intervention; two of all the clients with obsessive-compulsion symptoms, their scores of YBOCS are lower than the standard of into group; the Multiple-baseline chart shows that the two clients’fear emotion decrease obviously, and the trend of compulsive behavior occurring times of the other two clients is decreasing obviously; three times in the six-month follow up, all the clients had no evidence of recurrence.Conclusion:The treatment of Body Dysmorphic Disorder for college students is effective by using the Meta-cognition Intervention Technique, and the course of treatment is short, the effective is significant. All the clients had no evidence of recurrence of three times follow up in six-month. It can proof that the Meta-cognition Intervention Technique is an effective methods to treatment Body Dysmorphic Disorder for college students...
