This paper represents the characters of the aesthetic education development of the main regions in China, i.e. the South, North, East, South-west, North-east, and Middle of China, by employing such methodologies as literature and investigation, summarizes the chronological and regional development of the aesthetic education in China during the past 20 years, and outlines a map illustrating the survey of the aesthetic education development in Chinese main regions.The paper consists of 3 parts. Part one is composed of the justification of this dissertation, the related literature review, the methodology adopted by this dissertation, the division of the regional development of aesthetic education based on my investigation. Part two elaborates on the characters of the aesthetic education development in the six main regions of China. As for as the northern China is concerned, four characters are put forward. They are the function of the practical aesthetic dissecting the aesthetic education; the deep intersect of moraleducation and aesthetic education-moral aesthetic theory; the combinationof science education and aesthetic; and the construction and development of aesthetic in colleges and universities. The East of China is characterized by art aesthetic education, the raising and development of aesthetic education in enterprises, family aesthetic education and life aesthetic education, and the social culture and their construction. In South-western China, there are such characters as aesthetic psychology, the systematization of aesthetic educationtheory research, the construction of asthetic practical system, the break though and the net-work of asthetic research. The North-eastern China is characteristic of the practical fundamental education of aesthetic, some central cities bringing along the whole region and the magazine. This paper briefly describes something of the Middle China and the Southern China where there is special aesthetic. It also presents a brief introduction. Part tere concludes with the comparison of Aesthetic development among regions and the enlightenment to us. We are enlightened by the natural and diverse development of the aesthetic education, the wide range, and autonomy of the aesthetic education, the possibility of the aesthetic education intersected with other sciences, and the interaction of regional aesthetic education and culture, education etc.The study on differences and characters of the regional aesthetic education is theoretically enlightening for us to find out the laws of aesthetic education, to know precisely the education situation, to predict and plan the project of Chinese education and culture development, and to work out the strategies of country's education development.
