Using ancient Chinese phonetics rhetoric function in ancient poetry as an object of study, the paper explores phonetics rhetoric, especially phonetics artistic rhetoric, according to the theory that sound is similar to meanings and principle that rhetoric must adapt itself to the subject of poem and that there is an unity of content and form. The paper expounds the relations between the phonetics and the feelings of poem from following four aspects. The pleasant sound of the initial in ancient poetry is reflected in the use of Shuangsheng Dieyun and Dieyin. Besides, different tones quality in Five sound can express different feelings. The pleasant sound of compound vowel is mainly reflected in the concordant of lasting appeal and different rhyme schemes have different contents that suit their expression. The scatter and dense of rhyme have obvious function in leading emotional rise and fall. Four tones of PingShangQuRu have the different of Pingze and Yiyang. They relate to the pleasant sounds and feelings expression. The quality that single - syllable occupy a dominant in ancient Chinese can not only make poet works engender pleasant rhythm, but also express different feelings and meanings in different rhythm forms. In addition, the paper analyses phonetics rhetoric form's function in ancient poetry.In brief,ancient Chinese phonetics obvious rhetoric function in ancient poetry not only limit in the pleasant sound, but consider the relation between sounds and meanings in order to attain the ideal artistic state where sounds can convey feelings and where there is very concordant between sounds and feelings.
