Hanting is located in the north of weifang, Shandong Province.Hanting dialect is inJiaoliao Mandarin dialect area.With the expectation of furthering study in this field on the basisof previous achievements,this thesis studies the tone of Hanting dialect by means of phoneticsexperiments and speaking-listening method.The first chapter briefly introduces the research background of phonetics experiments,describes the current research situation of Hanting dialect, and states the research methods andprocedures of the experiments.The second chapter gives the initials and finals of Hanting dialect,and analysis somespecial finals with sound analysis software-praat.The third chapter studies on the mono-syllable tone from three perspectives of the pitch,duration and assignments of rushing.Here are the experimental conclusions:(1)The pitch valueof these tones are Yinping213,Yangping52, Shangsheng55,Qusheng51.(2)The duration patternof mono-syllable tone is Shangsheng﹥Yinping﹥Yanging﹥Qusheng.(3)Rusheng mainlydispatches Yinping Yangping and Qusheng.The fourth chapter studies on the bi-syllable tone from two perspectives of the pitch andduration. Here are the experimental conclusions:(1) The bi一syllable tone pattern concludedfrom the experiments is inconsistent with the traditional descriptions. In the bi一syllable tonepattern, always the first tone is influenced by the second one.(2) The duration pattern of bi一syllable tone is that [Yanging+Qusheng]is the shortest,[Yingping+Shangsheng] is the longestfor the male,and [Shangsheng+Yingping] is the longest for the female.The fifth chapter studies on the neutral tone from two perspectives of the pitch andduration.According to the experimental data,we get the vaues of [other tones and neutral tone]and the duration of them.
