On The Image Of Heretical Intellectuals In The Novels By Wang Shuo

The article analyses the image of heretical intellectuals in the novels by Wang Shuo from three different perspectives:its cultivation,depiction and cause of formation on it.Wang Shuo's creation of intellectual figures is based upon profound personal experiences in life. In his novels,various intellectuals suffer from anxieties in life and generally are characterized by a sophisticated mentality-pettiness, vulgarity and hypocrisy penetrate deeply into their personalities. Wang Shuo's mock at the intellectuals on the one hand reflects the chang of aesthetics in the creation of intellectuals in Chinese literature, and on the other hand illustrates Wang Shuo's profound contemplation on the problems of intellectuals.
