The Choice Of Style And The Lyric Strategies In Weeds

Weeds written by Luxun between December 1st, 1924 and April 26th, 1927 is a relatively peculiar type in all the texts made by the author. The research on Weeds will not only contribute to our understanding Luxun in the period of "walk back and forth", but also be in favor of our obtaining more vivid Luxun's image in accordance with Luxun. Different perspective can be taken in the research on literature. This thesis aims to probe into Weeds' style, and will fully explore the inner world of the creating subject to discuss the choice of style and lyric strategies in Weeds.Every writer will confront two key factors before creating: firstly, what to write; secondly, how to write. The choice of style and lyric strategies are both questions belonging to "how to write", and they both originate in the writer's choosing. They are united under the writer's structure of psychological state from their life experience, so we can take them into the same research sphere. Therefore, only by beginning to research from the inner world of the creating subjects, I think, can we understand the connotation of Weeds' text which describe the irrationality by means of rational thought. In view of this point, I will expound my ideas as the following:Firstly, starting from the sense of style, I will discuss why the author chose the style of prose poem and its significance, by analyzing the style of the author' s different literature text in the same period, andcriticizing the type of prose poem.Furthermore, I will show my points by entering the inner parts of the texts, and analyze the texts concentrating on the most obvious combination ways of two kinds imagery: opposition and contradistinction. By the analysis, I will make the reader understand the interactive relationship between the imagery' s combination ways and the author' s emotion, and then , we will get some spiritual connotation of the author reflected from the texts.
