"The season of love " , "The season of losing oneself " "The season of hesitating ", "The season of carnival" Such a series of novels are important accomplishments of Wang Meng in literary creation in 90's. The series offers a key to understanding Wang Meng deeply and overall. In text Wang Meng fused his own life experience of tens of years , stood at the cultural altitude of today, analyzed both himself and others without concealment, demonstrated his own soul frankly when looking back with deep feelings. This formed the basis of my study. My thesis focuses on " people in peculiar times" , deciphers the contents of text, try to excavate Wang Meng's deep thoughts contained in text. The thesis is composed of the following 4 parts:Part One " recollecting a epoch ". This part analyses the opposition between " politics " and " human nature ",the depressed and twisted human nature in Political era which Wang Meng showed in text consciously. Meanwhile , interpreters the inner world of that crowd of young revolutionaries in text, sums up their spiritual disposition and ideological character .Discusses the contradictory psychology of today's Wang Meng , which integrating negation into love toward his youth.Part Two " the journey of a person ". Stresses in excavating and summing up the relative unique psychological experience of the leading role: Qian Wen, who was a poet as well as a revolutionary. In his psychological drop between revolutionideal and ordinary reality, revealed his inherent quality persisting in pursuing spiritual perfection; Being a "You Pai " tortured his soul severely, how he managed to struggle out the impasses at last; Despite of suffering so much adversities, as a true poet ,he never lose his hot and sentimental poetry heart.Part Three " Profound philosophical thoughts ". Discusses Wang Meng's deep philosophical thoughts which revealed through the installation of plots in text., .It contained two group of propositions:" fact and contingency ", " things will turn over and retribution ". Though they have different viewpoints on life, fate and world, they got unification in text, showed Wang Meng accepted both of them completely.Part Four " real emotions ". focuses on Wang Meng's sincere feelings showed in text besides the main story . Which includes sincere love for land and peasant, rejection for vulgar , and how he regards female .This thesis spreads out exposition only on text contents, does not discuss either the characteristics of narration or advantages and disadvantages of the works.
