| Today, innovation has become the main leading power of the economic and social development. The exploitation of creative ability and the technology innovation have become an important strategic problem. These thoughts were put forward initially by Karl Marx in Manifesto of the Communist Party. In 1921, Joseph Alois Schumpter (1883-1950) first used the word—"innovation" in his work named the theory of economic development. In 1939, he expatiated the innovation theory roundly in Business Cycles. Though he didn't give an exact concept, the theory was a breakthrough. In 1941, A· F· Osborn published The Method of Thinking, where he advanced brainstorming. From then on, he became the founder of creative science. Now from economics to sociology, from law to engineering science, the innovation theory has come down to the whole society. The thesis, based on philosophy has studied the technology innovation and the creative thought in order to find the rule of creative thought in technology innovation, and the rule to direct technology innovation. The first chapter defines the technology innovation and discusses the factors of successful technology. Technology innovation is a series of process whose purpose is to gain business profits and win economic benefits by craving for new methods or new techniques or new productions, and to industrialize or commercialize them by the leading market. According to different standards, technology innovation can be divided into product innovation and process innovation, incremental innovation and radical innovation, labor saving innovation and capital saving innovation. In the process of technology innovation, there are three phases:design phases；examination phases；and extended phases. In different phases, there are different probability of risk and different income. They need different condition to hold out, and their dominant genres are different too. Compared with the stage of production, there are design phases, trial-manufacture phases and batch production phases. The factors of successful technology are various. They synthesize a great deal of researches of inland and overseas. There are three characteristics about successful technology innovation. (1) It is not one or two things leading to success generally. Each factor is important, and so are all the factors combined. (2) To different industry and enterprise, the successful factors have a certain extent intercommunity, though they are relatively important in different condition. (3) All the successful factors have one in common , that is the center effect of human beings. The high level managers and technologists are contributing mostly. Meanwhile the effect of all the people who attach themselves to the technology innovation cannot be ignored. The embodiment of effect is the creative thought which applied in technology innovation. The second chapter, based on creative thought, analyzes the application of it in technology innovation. Creative thought is relative to iterative thought. It is creative thought, if the outcome of this thought is never heard of before. During the process of creative thought, it is a key to gain its ends that the aspect of the thought could convert whether or not. The aspects of creative thought are multiform. They are diverged thought and converged thought, portrait thought and crosswise thought, converse thought etc. They exist both oppositely and uniformly, they supplement each other in order to find problems, confirm problems, settle problems and appraise them. In the technology innovation, creative thoughts have the characteristics of group, interaction and purpose. And creative thought is determinant in technology innovation. On one hand, creative thought makes technology innovation feasible. On the other, creative thought can make technology innovation come true.
