A Study Of The Sentence With "Ba" In Shuangfeng Dialect

The sentence with "ba" in Shuangfeng iialect has the same simple sentence structure as in Putonghua, but its semantic relation and syntactic function are much more complicated. The word "ba" has several different meanings such as "chuzhi" , "give" , "passive" . Meanwhile, its phonetic form is various. The mobility of "ba" exists in dynamic appliance. Compared with the usages in Putonghua and other dialects, this paper discusses three semantic types of the sentence with "ba" , and attempts to show the variety of deep semantic structure offered by the sentence "ba" . At the same time, through diechronic contrast, this paper discusses their historic origin, and takes a serious look at the bedrock of old-Chinese in Chinese dialect.
