From the angle of feminist, this paper makes a study aboutthe turn of the image of mother in the Chinese narrative text (especially since1980s), this turn have been defined as "from the cultural code to the dailymirror" . This paper was divided into three parts. The first part: Thehistorical construction of cultural code-it briefly reviews the image ofmother in the mainstream literature, and analyses the way of how the imageof mother has been symbolized, the author points out that as a result of theinfluence of Confucian, patriarchal clan system, politics ideology, the"motherhood" of women has been strengthened and posited above the"personhood" and "womanhood" of women ; through the constructing ofmother fable" , the image of mother, has been abstracted and blurred. Thesecond part: The image of mother in the contemporary writing (since 1980s)-it points out that there are two forms, one is popular narrating, in thenarrating from the perspective of "son-mother" , mother has been associatedwith love, tribulation, selflessness, and sacrifice, and then "motherhood"have been worshiped and glorified ; The other is daily writing, the paperindicates that owing to the contemporary female writers deconstructing themother fable and the worship of procreation and using the hyper-gender writingmode, the image of mother is approaching the daily reality, showing itselfas the mirror to common life . The third part, it takes a angle of narratologyto analysis the strategy of "fatherless" , the paper points out that"fatherless" actually implies that paternity exists everywhere, to bereavethe "wifehood" from mothers and to push their "motherhood" to the extreme;but in some texts with feminism consciousness, "fatherless" makes itpossible to reconstruct the pedigree of motner-daughter, and then, to return"personhood" and "womanhood" to mothers.
