On The SongYu's Literary Influence Take Tangshi And Songci As Examples

It is widely acknowledged that both QuYuan and SongYu are equally famous and important writers in the history of Chinese literature, but for a long time most people think SongYu's literary merit is not equal to QuYuan's, even neglect SongYu's works and do less research in him. In order to resume SongYu's historic status in literature, this paper tries to offer a preliminary analysis and clue which may lead to a further research in SongYu and his works.First, this paper draws a spreading outline of SongYu's works in history to make sure many poets and writers had been reading them constantly for nearly two thousand years. Second, this paper highlights the literary influence of SongYu's works which also is the main body of the thesis. Take Tangshi and Songci as examples, this paper collects series of materials and data relating to SongYu through cataloguing an index. Finally, moving one step further, this paper analyzes the reasons why SongYu's works often had been being quoted by so many later writers. In another word, this paper illustrates the literary phenomena of the understanding, interpretation and acceptance to SongYu's works.Based on the mentioned above, this paper points out it just is traditional criterion that its main contents are ethical evaluation that is the most factor to dim SongYu's impact. As a fact of matter, SongYu is one of the most excellent writers in the history of Chinese literature. Nearly two thousand years ago, his works embody a certain of consciousness to depict the subtle and profound emotions and feelings which are quite rare and invaluable. Therefore, this paper suggests it is really high time to reassess and relocate SongYu in the history of Chinese literature.
