| Cao Wenxuan is a writer and scholar of contemporary fictional theory, thus it is very interesting and challenging to study his works.In my article, I try to combine Cao Wenxuan's advocation in literature and to analyze the structure of his elegant peotry world, to reveal the significance of viewing upon children which makes up his peotry world and to conclude the remarkable value of Cao Wenxuan's works in the history of contemporary literature. I The Elegant and Peotry World 1.Depressing ElegancyCherishing the memory of the flaw of common life makes up the depressing undertone of Cao wenxuan 's works, which cotain classical warm heartedness and abstinent slight depressness shows the nobleness of human nature. Cao Wenxuan's tragic style isn't standard wailful nobleness, but presents a particular depressing elegancy. That's due to his stand point of tragedy.2.Pursuing MetaphysicsCao Wenxuan considers literature's developing towards metaphysics as a trend. His works contain the considerations of contemporary writers as well. "Loneliness" and "isolation", which are disturbing mankind, are also Cao Wenxuan's considerations. He tries to accomplish the seeking for the existed final and attempts to save the world which lacks of emotion with classical pitiness.He understands and assists those who defend their dignity and dispel the distance between people with warmheartedness and care. From this we understand the writer's best blessing for mankind.3. Dignity of Human NatureIn Cao Wenxuan's stories, people help each other and work very hard to realize their dignity . He soothes the bitter and pity of those unsatisfactory life with sympathy He admires and is even moved by those who struggle firmly in adversity. Meanwhile, Cao Wenxuan doesn't evade the dark and trifling side of human nature, regarding the weakness of human nature with his merciful spirit succeeded from sages and shows the insight and tolerance and his considerable understand-ing and sympathy as a sage. He never evades evil, but declares only as the foil of carrying forward the glorification of human nature; he denies evil firmly, but takes the attitude of mercy.4. Concordant WorldCao Wenxuan is good at also is ready to describe nature. Nature is the environmental factor which consists of his literatural world and its charming contrast with human nature enables people enjoy the beauty. His description on scenery is originative.Firstly, he usually integrates the uses of senses like visual, hearing, smelling. From varied forms of shape, color, sound and taste, he describes the sceneries vividly and makes readers feel that they are in the stories. Secondly, he employs glorious writing style , adopting narrative style to describe nature which shows his remarkable skills in writing. People mostly classify creative concepts into threekinds--"most environment","mind with environment", " mostly mind" and Cao Wenxuan's belongs to the first two. Cao employs the form of imagination to symbolize personality of characters. II Ordinary Piont Of View On Children 1.Themes on ChildrenThemes on children consists ofthe characteristic of Cao Wenxuan's writing. He chooses children's life as themes of stories to communicate with readers by recalling the most moving stories. He takes the way like writing one's own recollections that reflects the hue of autobiography. Some of the works are things the writer have experinced in his early age .Choosing themes on chilren is also a way of evading "present issues" and to resist pragmatism and is a sensible choice to develop towards metaphysics .2. Children's Visual AngleIn Cao Wenxuan's works , he concerns more about the growth of children and their social life.
