Comparison, one of widely-used categories in language, has been universally focused by linguists. The thesis is based on comparative categories studied by our predecessors, according to semantic meaning, dividing comparison into four subcategories, namely, superiority, equality, inferiority and tendency. In the thesis, the author applies comparative linguistic theories and methods to conducting in-depth research on Chinese-Korean comparative categories.Chapter one briefly relates research purpose, significance and content of the article, introducing ontological and contrastive research by the predecessors.Chapter two analyses Chinese-Korean comparative sentences indicating superiority, starting with expressions of sentences with "比" and sentences with "" . The thesis approaches the position of comparative case auxiliary words used in both Chinese and Korean from typological point of view, and makes a contrastive study of all kinds of sentence types.Chapter three discusses similarities and differences of Chinese-Korean comparative sentences indicating equality, which is divided into three kinds of expressions, namely, total equality, approximate equality and basic equality.Chapter four makes a contrastive analysis of comparative sentences indicating inferiority, which fall into three types, sentences with "不如", sentences with "不比" and sentences with "没 有" All of these can be expressed with "" in Korean. Here sentences with "不比" are different from ones indicating equality.Chapter five deals with dynamic comparative sentences indicating tendency in Chinese andKorean, and analyses the differences between sentences with "越……越……" andsentences with "越来越".Chapter six is mainly about ellipsis of comparative item Y in Chinese-Korean comparative sentences.Concluding remarks summarizes the whole thesis and puts forward some unsolved problems.
