Study On The Development Of Medium-Sized Cities And Regions Of YunNan, GuiZhou And GuangXi In The 20～(th) Century

YunNan GuiZhou and GuangXi are called Dian Qian and Gui short .Because of locating in the southwest of china, the three provinces, which are adjacent to each other, often were free from the governing of central government. The economic society even and the development of cities of the three provinces far more fall behind the Central Plains.The artillery fire of The Opium War not only forced China to open the door to the western countries ,but also break the isolated condition of the three provinces. In the early days of 20th Century, accompanying with the found of Treaty Ports, development of new-style transformation ,and the moving to the interior of a great many enterprises during the war of Anti-Japanese, the development of cities of DianQianGui started to gradually catch up with the cities in central and east areas. But because of the serious lack of interior power ,the three cities of yunguidian declined inextricably.During the later period, the found of PRC provided these cities with many opportunities, From then on, these cities have developed great deal in quantity and in quality. But as a whole, the level of these cities still fall behind central and east cities,and the dimension and structures of them are not perfect.Today,themedium-sized cities become more and more important due to the lack of large-sized cities. Under the background of The Exploitation of West, we should vigorously develop the medium-sized cities inand constitute the Nan(NanLing)Gui(GuiYang)Kun(KunMing)Economical District.
