Juvenile delinquency, especially its tendency of more violence and younger age, is among the hot topics in our society. The research is to provide a study of group training for the development of the juvenile criminals' higher affections. The group training intends to arouse the members' higher affections so as to decrease their violent behaviors. A series of courses are designed, such as having a thanksgiving day to give thanks to people around, recalling the bygones to cherish the family love, relaxing and enjoying the classical music, loving the country, cherishing the life, regretting and shaming for the past misdeeds etc. The research is to seek a new way to reform the juvenile criminals. It is also a reference to the prison system. In the research, ISS (internalized shame scale) and phenomenological rating scale are used to measure the level of the shame and personal interview to know deeply about the members. As a result, the group training works. It decreases the members' violence tendency to some extent. They begin to feel grateful to others after the Thanksgiving day activity. They also experience the care of their family and start to cherish human lives. They gradually feel guilty and regretful of their misdeeds. They enjoy the music and learn to release themselves from the melody. However, it is also found that most of them lack the sense of justice or patriotism. There is no significant difference of the shame level between the juvenile criminals and the senior high school students. According to Cook's standard of criterion, 14 out of 141 juvenile criminals and 8 out of 108 high school students are beyond his rating point, Their high level of shame is very likely to lead their mental problems, such as depression. Besides, there's negative correlation of shame and self-esteem. There is significant difference of self-esteem between the juvenile criminals and the senior high school students, also between the juvenile criminals of high and low level of shame.Based on the result of the research, some suggestions are served: first, it is necessary to provide mental health education and psychological intervention to the juvenile criminals; Secondly, group training of developing higher affections is a useful way to lessen the tendency of violence; Thirdly, the development of the higher affection is a process. It needs to be raised step by step; Fourthly, the whole society is supposed to treat the juvenile criminals equally and care about them more than before.
