The governable compound verb is one kind of compounds which is relatively numerous in modern Chinese. They have many distinguishing features in construction and function and semantic. Many of them have loose structure, and two morphemes can be used separately. They have object morpheme inside themselves and their meanings are complete. But some of them can bring anther object again after them. The verb argument of these verbs often can insert inside of them and act as attributive of object morpheme of the verbs. We select syllabic compound verbs of governing mode as target for survey from Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese (2002) and use some literary works of modern and contemporary as language material. We try to apply the syntactic theory and the valency theory to analyze this kind of verbs relatively large and detailed. These verbs usually are made of two morphemes in construction. At least one of the two morphemes must be used with other component and can't be used freely. The former is verbal morpheme and the latter is object morpheme which usually be severed by noun, adjective or verb. The construction of these verbs like verb-object phrase and is more loose .Most of these verbs can be separated to two parts when they are been using. The ways of separation include expansion and displacement. The two ways can be mixed used in many conditions. Most of this kind of verbs can act as predicate or the center of predicate like normal verbs in function. They include object morpheme per se. Many of them are v.i. and can't bring object after them.
