The Research Of Shaping Chinese Character By Absorbing Image

The thesis is used to describe the research of the formation of Chinese character, which bases on the theory of image thinking. This research consults the way of the research of Modern Normal Linguistics and adopts the research achievement of predecessors. The purpose of this research is to discover the deep basis of forming Chinese characters and to find out some rules of the construction of Chinese characters, at same time, to let us understand some characteristics of the thinking of the Han nationality as well as the culture psychology.Chinese characters are not only the symbol of Chinese in written form but also embody the rich culture trait of the Han nationality. Image thinking is the main part of thinking of the Han nationality and can be found in every aspect of Chinese culture especially in Chinese characters. Image thinking directs the process of forming Chinese characters, particularly the process of shaping Chinese characters by absorbing images around the world and so we can see it in every layer of Chinese character. The forming of Chinese characters mainly bases on image thinking and at same time Chinese characters strengthen the status of image thinking among the thinking of the Han nationality. There are rich images in Chinese characters, which have the normal characteristics of image and also have some special characteristics. Following theevolvement of Chinese characters, the images of Chinese characters incessantly disappear. But it is the inevitable trend of the evolvement of characters, so we should accept it.
