Adolescent violence becomes more and more serious, and it has brought great harm to individual, family and society. Since last century, aggressiveness researches have developed rapidly and widely in foreign countries, above all in measurement instruments. However, there are fewer researches about aggressiveness in our country, especially lack of instruments to measure adolescent aggressiveness.The purpose of the research is developing the Adolescent Aggressiveness Questionnaire (AAQ) fit for Chinese adolescents based on adolescent aggressiveness theory, adolescent aggressiveness expression, research results of foreign countries, expert assessing et al. The dimensions and structure of the AAQ were examined through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) & confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). At the same time, the characteristic of adolescent aggressiveness and the relation between adolescent aggressiveness and family background variables, popularity in class were examined. The results showed,1. AAQ was made up with aggressive behavior, aggressive cognition and aggressive emotions. Aggressive behavior has three factors: verbal aggression, physical aggression and self-aggression.2. The internal consistency reliabilities (Cronbach's alphas) and the relation between factors and scales, questionnaire, and the relations between scales and questionnaire were summarized. The content validity, structure validity, and concrete validity of the AAQ were examined. Findings showed reliabilities and validities were adequate to excellent.3. On aggressive behavior, today adolescent had more physical aggressionrelatively; On aggressive cognition, today adolescent expressed more retaliate thoughts. On aggressive emotions, today adolescent had more impulsivity problem.4. Findings about sex and grade differences showed that, girls of junior grade one and senior grade three had more aggressiveness, and girls of the middle grades had relatively less aggressiveness. Boys had no significant difference from junior grade one to senior grade three, so to say, boys' aggressiveness stayed stable in middle school. And senior grade one and grade two were the most obvious stages of sex difference.5. Findings about family background variables showed that, parents occupation and education degree had no effects in adolescent aggressiveness; parents income had effect in some factors; parents supporting style and their relationship were the most influence factor in adolescent aggressiveness.6. Findings about popularity in class showed that, none popular and less popular adolescent had more aggressiveness than most popular and more popular adolescent.
