" Nature " has 4 kinds of explanations in the modern Chinese dictionary, it reflects the meaning of two aspects. the first is that the truth of material existence and the second refers to the developing state without manpower intervene. We claim the latter which is kindly natural , overflowing with joy of life but not artificial at all is claimed as the natural moral character{also include the natural spirit}. With artist experiencing an organic whole of merging himself to natural deep place between feeling and sincere emotion of world, "nature" of art, an unrestrained realm which is independent ,satisfactory and controlled by itself, is shown through the appropriate art form. At the same time, it is clear to show simples, pure artistic spirit,which communicates with true natural moral character. Owing to its "latent" and "empty" characteristic , "nature" of art, which is not strange for us, but is often neglected. However, once art loses the natural instinct of "nature", it loses the communicability of the human emotion and consciousness carrier, and so does all its value. Today, concerning how toi deal with the relation between tradition and modernization, China and the west, it is necessary to do comparatively systematical and further investigation on Austria contemporary artist, Max·Weiler and his "nature" moral character in his graphics art. His artistic creation puts emphasis on returning to nature (true nature instinct). It usually success naturally in harmony between man and nature and works transmission produces one honest innocent flavor, is a course form true nature to "nature" of art. In the modernization drive of China's painting, only can we really inherit the spirit of "nature" and cherish the outstanding traditional marrow in our own culture while studying western aesthetic foundation, it will be indispensable precious artistic accomplishment in Chinese canvas art.
