In the article of , the author uses the theory knowledge of modern linguistics, in draw lessons from and absorb forefathers a large number of outstanding foundation of research results, combines oneself study practical experience on Uighur idiom, has carried on an detailed and overall analysis to Uighur idiom.The full dissertation is divided into six parts.First part is the preface. It reviews research results on Uighur idiom of forefathers, briefly points out the weak point existing in the existing research results.Second part is about the definition of Uighur idiom and difference of the idiom and other languages units. In this part, the author has distinguished idiom and proverb, complex word and freedom phrase, has pointed out the demarcation line existing between them. The author provides the definition of Uighur idiom by summing up the method to summarize, and think that Uighur idiom belongs to category of complex pharase, Uighur idiom is meaningful double-deck regular phrase of in the vocabulary. This part is the foundation of setting forth one's views of a full dissertation.The third part has carried on the detailed classification to Uighur idiom from three angles of structure, function, semantic.The fourth part is a source to probe into Uighur idiom. The author think source of Uighur idiom can check six source, Uighur idiom has followed in six way mainly.
